Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026. CrawlerList collects the minimum data needed to keep the site running. No accounts, no profiles built about you, no data sold.
1. The short version
- You can browse without an account, login, or email.
- We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics for performance and uptime — nothing tied to you personally.
- We don't sell your data. We don't build profiles on you. We don't track you across other sites.
- Cookies are limited to what's strictly necessary plus optional analytics.
- If you post a listing, the contact details you choose to include become public on the listing itself.
2. What we collect
Automatically collected
When you visit CrawlerList, our infrastructure may automatically log the following for security, debugging, and analytics:
- IP address (truncated for analytics, retained briefly for abuse prevention)
- Browser type, OS, device type, screen size
- Referring URL and pages visited
- Timestamp of the visit
Provided by you
If you contact us by email, post a listing, or submit an abuse report, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that submission — typically an email address and the message body. We use that information solely to respond to you and operate the service.
3. What we don't collect
- We don't require accounts, so we don't store account passwords or profiles.
- We don't fingerprint your device for cross-site tracking.
- We don't sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties.
- We don't run third-party advertising trackers without disclosing them here.
4. Cookies & analytics
CrawlerList uses a minimum number of cookies. These fall into two categories:
Strictly necessary
Used for things like remembering whether you've passed the age-gate or theme/display preferences. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
Optional analytics
We may use a privacy-focused analytics tool to measure aggregate page performance and traffic. This is anonymous and cannot identify you personally. You can block analytics cookies in your browser at any time.
5. Third-party services
CrawlerList aggregates listings from third-party sources. When you click through to an original listing, you leave our site and become subject to the privacy practices of that third-party host. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the privacy practices of external sites.
We may also use third-party providers for hosting, content delivery (CDN), analytics, and email. These providers are bound to handle data only as needed to provide their service to us.
6. Data retention
Server logs are typically retained for 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted or anonymized. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, plus a reasonable archival period. Listing data is retained while the listing is live and for a short window after removal.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California), including:
- The right to know what personal data we hold about you
- The right to request correction or deletion of your data
- The right to opt out of any data sale (we don't sell data, so this is automatic)
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@crawlerlist.net. We'll respond within 30 days.
8. Children's privacy
CrawlerList is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact abuse@crawlerlist.net immediately and we will delete it.
9. International users
CrawlerList is operated from the United States. By using the site you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. We apply the same minimum-collection principles regardless of where you're visiting from.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices (HTTPS, hardened hosting, limited internal access) to protect any data we hold. No system is 100% secure though, so we can't guarantee that data sent to us cannot be intercepted in transit.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use of CrawlerList after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
